Professional Photographic Repair has been in business in the Kearny Mesa Industrial Park area of San Diego since 1975. Our facility offers service on all makes and models of photographic equipment. PPR offers service on professional SLRs as well as 35mm point and shoots. We also service medium formats including : Hasselblad, Mamiya, Bronica, and Pentax and large format cameras such as Linhof and Sinar. We also service a variety of Accessory and studio equipment which include: lenses, motor drives, tripods, darkroom equipment, flash units, and power packs just to list a few. PPR also services slide, movie and overhead projectors, video equipment, camcorders, and also digital equipment. Our facility operates in specialized repair departments that keep all our repairs with the most qualified and experienced technicians.

Besides our local San Diegan customers, PPR has major accounts with Hasselblad, Eastman-Kodak, Konica-Minolta, Fuji , 3M, Norman , Dynalite, Dukane, and Beseler. We are fully authorized as a service center for the listed companies and an authorized dealer for Nikon. A notable percentage of our business also includes commercial and wedding photographers, and photographic dealers from all over the United States . PPR also services many secondary schools and college districts in the area. We have also provided service for our law enforcement.

We use only state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment including Kyoritsu shutter and exposure analysis equipment, Richter optical test bench, Pearl optical auto-collimator, ZTS auto-focus testers, Sencore video test equipment and more.

The professional approach to our front office and service personnel, combined with our 2-level quality control program, consistently provides our customer with a high quality service while maintaining a very low return rate.
